I agreed to go to “Sächsische Schweiz” on Saturday for a hiking trip. “Schweiz” is German for “Switzerland”, so logically, I assumed I was going to Switzerland and told everyone as such. But it turns out ze pesky Germans also call an area within their own country “Schweiz”, so we actually headed to some place just outside of Dresden 😛
Thankfully, Sächsische Schweiz is a spectacularly nice place. We started the journey with a pleasant train trip from Berlin, past Dresden and towards the border with the Czech republic.

Apparently in Sächsische, the locals seem concerned that we may wish to stick our head down by the urinal to get some drinking water! (“kein Trinkwasser” is Deutsch for “not drinking water”)
