Some photos showing the beautiful landscape from my recent ski trip.
We started an awesome little fire at the hytta during my ski trip with Live, Ingvild and Irene.
I had my first cross country skiing trip recently. Ingvild, Live, Irene and myself headed to a small hytta (cabin) near Oslo. The weather was great and despite my being a bit slow and having to run down the occasional hill due to my meagre skiing skills, I made it to the end! Big thanks […]
I headed with Boban and Ivelina to the restaurant on Holmenkollen between sledding runs. It’s a great place to warm up between exciting sled rides down Korketrekkeren.
I have a minor problem. The Comment Errors plugin I wrote a while back is broken. I’m not sure why it’s broken, but I suspect it is related to a change in WordPress core, so I’m going to discontinue it until I come up with a better solution. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/comment-errors/ My current plan Remove all the […]
More photos from my trip with Ivelina and Boban to Korketrekkeren for sledding.
I wondered why some of the bread tasted so nasty when I moved to Norway. It turns out it was only half baked! I didn’t realise this was the problem until looking at the side of a packet today and reading “halvstekt” which means “half cooked”!
Some more pictures from my trip to the Rikugi-en gardens.
Some more photos from my trip to the Rikugi-en gardens in Tokyo.

I visited the Kakuun-Tei (tea house) in Tokyo. The original building was destroyed during World War 2. The current house is a reconstruction built in 1958.
The Tokyo Tower is an ugly looking beast by day. The hideous orange monstrosity becomes a beautiful golden structure later in the evening.
It is common to see girls dressed in traditional Japanese dresses at the Meija shrine in Tokyo. These nice girls let me take their photo.
Jeg løpt 6.7 km i Oslo snø i dag.
I was awarded a medal at work for sending traffic to our company website. The medal tasted pretty good 🙂
Ever wondered how bad someone looks the first time they fly a plane, and without any instruction? Well here’s my rather pitiful attempt. I crashed it again about an hour after this clip was taken and am about to go buy some replacement parts this afternoon to repair the damage! Fingers crossed my flying improves […]
View of the Tokyo Rainbow bridge. I took the photo from the Tokyo Tower.

Some more photos from my trip up the Tokyo Tower.
I watched a traditional Japanese lion dance thingy at the Rikugi-en gardens in Tokyo. The lions seem to enjoy biting the heads of small children who promptly started screaming.

Jeg hadde min først skitur i helgen. Jeg var litt dårlig på ski, men jeg skal bli bedre neste gang 🙂
Jeg gikk på skitur til hytta i skogen.
I had one heck of a good view from the Tokyo Tower just after sunset.
I saw a massive swathe of people walking along a pathway in Tokyo. After a slow 30 min walk, I ended up at the Meija shrine.
I went to the Tokyo Tower to catch a glimpse of a Japanese sunset from up high. Here are the first batch of photos right at sunset. I’ll post some photos from later in the evening soon.
I had a brief stopover in Shanghai enroute to Japan. They had some of the best airport food I’ve ever tried!
Some snaps from the plane taken whilst flying into Auckland during my trip to Japan.
There was a great view of Mount Taranaki from onboard the plane during my trip to Japan.
I visited the historic Chinese settlement in Arrowtown. The settlement consists of old huts built by Chinese immigrants.
Melissa and I went mountain biking along the Clutha river from Albert Town to Wanaka. We had an awesome time cruising along a sweet little dirt path.
Melissa and I went camping at Albert Town at my friend Krissi’s camp site in Albert Town.
I had an absolute blast hooning down Korketrekkeren today with Boban and Ivelina.
Some nice views of Lake Pukaki near Mount Cook.
I bought my first radio controlled air plane today, a Parkzone Mini-Vapor. Having never flew a plane in my life, and not being much into reading instructions, I promptly flew it, then crashed it! Thankfully it is a hardy little machine and seems to handle the knocks quite well and should live to fly another […]
After escaping the people overflow in Wanaka, Melissa and I headed over the Crown Range enroute to the equally overflowing Queenstown.
I stopped off at Benmore hydro dam enroute to visiting Melissa in Oamaru.
Melissa, myself and Ashley went rafting down the Hawea river on an airbed. Lots of fun had by all as we negotiated the mighty rapids of the Hawea.
I headed north to Mount Cook for the afternoon. Unfortunately the weather started to pack in badly as I arrived.
Jeg vil baker en veldig bra hjemme lagt brød for meg.
Melissa and I went to see some Baby Blue penguins at the Oamaru colony. Unfortunately it was nearly impossible to get a good photo due to the crappy lighting but below is the best I managed.

I bought my first pair of skis this evening. I’ve never tried cross-country skiing before, so hopefully I don’t kill myself in the process of using them.
I had a spectacular view of the New Zealand Southern Alps whilst flying towards Christchurch.
WordCamp Norway happened last weekend. Lots of cool people, lots of cool conversations and great to finally meet some awesome people in the real world who I’ve known in the online world for a long time.
