Some more photos from my trip to the Rikugi-en gardens in Tokyo.
I visited the Meija Shrine inner garden. It is a very large traditional Japanese garden in the heart of Tokyo.
I visited the Kakuun-Tei (tea house) in Tokyo. The original building was destroyed during World War 2. The current house is a reconstruction built in 1958.
It is common to see girls dressed in traditional Japanese dresses at the Meija shrine in Tokyo. These nice girls let me take their photo.
View of the Tokyo Rainbow bridge. I took the photo from the Tokyo Tower.
Some more photos from my trip up the Tokyo Tower.
I watched a traditional Japanese lion dance thingy at the Rikugi-en gardens in Tokyo. The lions seem to enjoy biting the heads of small children who promptly started screaming.
I saw a massive swathe of people walking along a pathway in Tokyo. After a slow 30 min walk, I ended up at the Meija shrine.
I had a brief stopover in Shanghai enroute to Japan. They had some of the best airport food I’ve ever tried!
The Rikugi-en gardens is a beautiful part of Tokyo city and well worth visiting if you are in the area.

According to Wikipedia: This temple is one of the most well known in the Kant region of Japan and is only surpassed in visitors during the O-shogatsu period (lit: New year period) by the Meiji Shrine in Tokyo. […]
Vicki and I stopped over in Japan on our way back from Europe. Here are some lovely photos of the wonderful delicacies you can enjoy whilst visiting 😀 I also tried authentic Japanese sushi and a few other generic local foods, but I won’t bore you with photos of those.
For those of you who aren’t aware, Vicki Agyle and I have recently returned from a whirlwind tour of Hong Kong, Israel, England, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Japan. Despite everyone’s insistence that we would be blown up the moment we reached Tel Aviv, we ‘braved’ it anyway to make our way to the ICCC38 (International […]
