Museum für Naturkunde
Dinosaur sighting! Liuba and I explored Berlin’s Museum für Naturkunde, finally seeing the skeletons of T. Rex and Triceratops up close. It was an amazing experience!

Thanks to Craig Sailor for the photo.
I had a fun but tiring trip to Spreewald with Liuba, Mo, Sylvia and Jaylene.
I’ve always enjoyed a good walk in the rain in the city. It’s the one time when you be sure that nobody will be out and about. You end up mostly having the city to yourself for a short while. So when it started to downpour this afternoon, I donned my trusty raincoat and headed […]
Liuba and I went to the Disney on ice show in Berlin.
Liuba and I had a weekend away in a little town called Buckow in Brandenburg, Germany.
Pictures from a trip to kleiner Müggelsee with Liuba and Julia, on a hot day.
Birthday celebration with Carly, Madhvi, Craig and Liuba.
I had a great day out during a cycling trip to Werder for their annual baumblutenfest (blossom festival).
Liuba and I took a weekend trip to Berlin Tropical Islands. It’s the worlds largest indoor waterpark, built inside an old airship hangar. The building is the largest hall in the world without pillars. Despite it’s name, the waterpark is nowhere near Berlin. So we stayed in a little place called Königswusterhausen for the night, […]
Last week, I spoke on “Bytes and Minds: Navigating Mental Health in the Tech World” at WordCamp Netherlands 2023. Big thanks to Roan de Vries for capturing these moments. Catch the slides here: WordCamp Netherlands 2023 presentation.
I found this blast from the past in my Google Drive just now. They’re my dating profile pictures from 2005, back before dating apps were at all useful and only crazy people (including me) were on them. As far as I know, the last one was never used due to the excessive cringe factor. As […]
Some photos from Halloween 2015 that got lost in my photo storage.
Some pictures from Orange Bay in Egypt, with Liuba.
Some photos from a recent trip to the pyramids of Giza.
Some pictures from a trip Liuba and I made to the Sphinx, in Egypt.
Some pictures from a snorkeling trip in Egypt.
I’d never been to a water park before. The closest I’d been, was to hydroslides at water pools. Liuba and I noticed that there was a water park near where we were staying in Tenerife, but were surprised to find out that it was rated one of the best water parks in the world! I […]
Liuba and I went on a winter getaway to Tenerife. We had perfect weather.
So this happened. Then this happened. And now I’m all smooth again 🙂
Mo took this slightly artsy photo of me during a walk around Tempelhofer feld in Berlin.
I assembled a pile for cushions to block the air conditioner from hitting Cassienne, and we decided it looked like an art exhibit ?
I have no idea what this bird is, but it was a giant graceful thing which just slowly meandered into our camp site near Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It seemed to be very tolerant of humans and only backed off when I got right up in it’s face with a camera. EDIT: David Lockie pointed out […]
Tane, me, Julia, Basia and Mo went to the Xmas market at Alexanderplatz in Berlin. Thanks to Mo for taking the photo for us.
Some pictures from a hiking trip with Basia in Naturpark Barnim last year.
We found an exciting new spot to work from.
Basia and I headed out for a group hike to the Briese swamp area, just out of Berlin. We had an awesome hike through the swamp 🙂
Visiting the Neues Museum in Berlin with Charlotta 🙂 The skull is one of the very earliest preserved homo sapien skulls.
Thanks to Brianna for waiting around whilst I launched myself off the Kawarau bridge late last year 🙂 I was totally relaxed, even when standing on the edge. But that feeling of freefall puts me into severe panic. I think I need to do this a few hundred more times to get used to the […]
Hanging out with babies in Prague!
Here are some hideous photos taken by Andy Noble in 2007. People keep asking what my hair looked like before I chopped it all off, so here you go 🙂 … basically, terrible and thin 😛 I should have shaved it all off when I was still teenager. Oh well, retrospect …
We saw these little critters scampering around by the waterside in Prague. It seemed very odd, as they seem to have no fear of anything. It turns out they’re an invasive introduced pest! The local vegan restaurant is providing them with fresh food each day; go figure 😛 At least they provide some entertainment for […]
Visiting Warsaw with Lynn.
Mo, Jacob, myself and Jenny went on a cycling trip from Brandenburg an der Havel to Potsdam. Lunch consisted on an amazing ice cream sundae 🙂
Madhvi and I celebrating after completing the final leg of the Madhvi marathon (12 km).
James stopped off to visit, so us and Aron went karting together. I came last. I’m slightly bitter about the result lol.
I organised my first post/mid-Coronapocalypse hike after laws were dropped limiting the number of attendees. It was great to get back out in nature again with so many new cool people 🙂
A fun trip to Gdansk with Lynn 🙂
Dave and I went canoeing on Otago harbour. An awesome day out enjoying nature from the water 🙂
Better late than never. This was from last year 🙂 Download video
