I wanted something powerful that would help me pick up hot chicks. Today I took my new ride for it’s first serious cruise.
Landschaftspark is a park in Duisburg, designed to show off the former industrial nature of the area. I spent a pleasant afternoon there with Steffi.
My friend Leah had her birthday recently. She told everyone she didn’t want a birthday present, so I had a birthday greeting made for her instead 🙂 Download video from Harald
Paternoster lifts consist of a series of open compartments that move without stopping. You need to jump on very quickly to avoid getting squished!
Apparently I don’t post enough pictures of myself, so here’s a couple of random ones which don’t fit into any other posts.
I tried my hand at axe throwing whilst at the Râșnov Citadel. Apparently I can neither aim, nor throw very well.
How do you entertain yourself on a beautiful sunny day? I took the following photo beside the royal palace in Oslo, a few minutes walk from my apartment.
I had an awesome time visiting my friend Steffi in Duisburg. Lots of yummy Germany beer (and fruit beers) and of course awesome company.
Brașov is a beautiful little town in Transylvania, Romania. I used the town as a base for exploring the surrounding region and as somewhere to chill out.
I stayed in Cluj-Napoca for a few days following the WordCamp Transylvania conference. I had a great time in Cluj. It was terrific meeting up with friends.
With the first weekend of good weather, I took to the hills around Oslo on my mountain bike. I’m not very good at taking it easy.
The 17th of May is the biggest public holiday of the year in Norway. All the Norwegian go crazy! The girls wear striking little outfits called “bunad”.
Harriet and I saw the strange looking spire of “Vor Frelsers Kirke” in København so decided to take a closer look. It turned out you can walk to the top.
Harriet and I headed to Nyhaven, a small port area of København in Denmark with lots of awesome little restaurants and cafes.
I went for a beer with the lovely Fonda. I ended up drinking beer with 40% alcohol content. I’m going to file this in the “it seemed like a good idea at the time” basket! It tasted something like a cross between tequila and vodka. At no point did I sense a taste of beer […]
I had my first cross country skiing trip recently. Ingvild, Live, Irene and myself headed to a small hytta (cabin) near Oslo. The weather was great and despite my being a bit slow and having to run down the occasional hill due to my meagre skiing skills, I made it to the end! Big thanks […]
I headed with Boban and Ivelina to the restaurant on Holmenkollen between sledding runs. It’s a great place to warm up between exciting sled rides down Korketrekkeren.
Ever wondered how bad someone looks the first time they fly a plane, and without any instruction? Well here’s my rather pitiful attempt. I crashed it again about an hour after this clip was taken and am about to go buy some replacement parts this afternoon to repair the damage! Fingers crossed my flying improves […]
Melissa and I went mountain biking along the Clutha river from Albert Town to Wanaka. We had an awesome time cruising along a sweet little dirt path.
Melissa and I went camping at Albert Town at my friend Krissi’s camp site in Albert Town.
I had an absolute blast hooning down Korketrekkeren today with Boban and Ivelina.
After escaping the people overflow in Wanaka, Melissa and I headed over the Crown Range enroute to the equally overflowing Queenstown.
Melissa, myself and Ashley went rafting down the Hawea river on an airbed. Lots of fun had by all as we negotiated the mighty rapids of the Hawea.
Noel and I decided to do a photoshoot to demonstrate our incredible duckface skills. Don’t we look sexy?
Lake Hawea put on some awesome weather during a mountain biking trip.
I went mountain biking while camping at Albert Town. The weather was terrific and there were great views of the Hawea river.
Bret was in the process of building a kick butt tree house for the kids. I hadn’t climbed a tree in a very long time.

I’m best buds with Kate Moss 🙂
I forgot to publish this blog post back in May 2012! I took these photos at the Viking Museum in Oslo.
Morten and I headed to Store Gryta to find some ice to skate on. Unfortunately it was a little thin, so we stopped for a short food break where I tried Julebrød med brun øst (Norwegian Christmas bread with brown cheese), a traditional Christmas time snack around these parts.
My new skating Morten kindly drove us to Setertjern for some ice skating. 50 mm of nice hard, smooth ice 🙂 There was a swiffle of snow on the top, but nothing major.
More photos from my recent skating trip to Kringlevann. We had terrific weather this day, -6° C and very little clouds. A great change from the past month of dreary rainy crap.
Morten and I headed to Langvann for some ice skating. Beautiful weather and a really long and smooth sheet of ice to skate on.
After multiple trips over the past few weeks to Kringlevann all resulted in failed attempts at skating, I was beginning to think my chances of skating in the great outdoors this season was fading fast. Fortunately we had a good freeze over the past few days and only a minor dusting of snow. After I […]
Marte and Ingvild and I admired the beautiful autumn colours along Akeselva
Nadia and I visited Albufeira, a small seaside tourist town in Portugal. Nice views. Nice beach. Nice weather. Nice company.
I assumed that going to the toilet in public was relegated to third world countries, but it seems it is totally acceptable in Norway!
I went cycling around Ørfiske north of Oslo, Norway with my friend Marte.
More photos from my cycling trips 🙂 This time it’s Maridalsvannet from above.
The lovely Ingvild and Marte invited me to stay at their awesome little cottage in the woods. It overlooks a beautiful little lake called Movatn. The weather gods were angry that evening, but we were nice and cosy and downed some yummy seafood chowder followed by a healthy dose of ice cream and chocolate sauce […]
In case anyone wasn’t already aware, I’m somewhat obsessed with a piece of software called “WordPress”. My occupation now revolves around WordPress and I voluntarily let it suck up an inordinate amount of my time. I attended a conference called “WordCamp Edinburgh”, which is by far the biggest WordPress conference I’ve ever attended. I met […]
